new this year - Recycle program
As the local landfill nears capacity, everyone is exploring options to extend the life of the landfill. All options include more recycling to reduce the amount of waste ever reaching the landfill. Many cities in our area are launching universal household recycling programs, meaning every household participates in the program, including Woods Cross, Syracuse, Sunset, and every city in Morgan County.
Blue recycle carts will be delivered to residents during the last two weeks of June. Service will start the week of July 1. This service is a universal service, meaning it is a basic service provided by the City. Anyone receiving City services will receive the bundled program of one garbage cart and one recycle cart.
