Municipal election 2025

ELECTION INFORMATION
Ballots will be mailed to all active registered voters three weeks before the election (October 14). If you are a military (currently deployed) or overseas citizen eligible to vote in state and local elections, you may register to vote and request a regular absentee ballot for upcoming elections.
Mailed ballots must be received by the County Clerk’s Office by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day (November 4) to be counted—postmarks do not count anymore.
A secure ballot drop box is available at the Fruit Heights City Hall (910 S Mountain Road) and can be used through Election Day. On Election Day, in-person voting will also be available at the Fruit Heights City Hall from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

caucus system
Fruit Heights uses a caucus system to nominate candidates for office. For years, there have been requests from residents to consider changing the system to a nonpartisan primary election process. The city council created a survey, asking residents which election system they would prefer in their city. Results from the survey served as a step in gathering feedback and information for the council to consider. See the survey results
The council voted 3-2 to retain the caucus night election system for Fruit Heights.
The Pinecone and Sagebrush parties met on Wednesday, May 14, to decide candidates for mayor and city council. The words “Thank You” don’t seem quite big enough to say how much we appreciate those willing to run for office and serve our community.
